Author's Comment

With much reluctance comes great anticipation. I have ended a story, and the feeling was similar to that of reincarnation. I have always been itching to begin a new story and have always desired to write it. As of today, I have finally managed to lift my pen to commence its creation.

I personally have a lot of confidence in this new book. It will not be a typical and orthodox plot where the weak slowly grows in strength. This is a book created after long consideration and planning, that could contain almost every aspect that you could think of.

A person is born in a family, and the family born within a country. To protect your own house may just be an intention, but to protect the country would be a noble cause.

This book has political issues, but it also contains brotherly romance.

It’s a little contradictory with each other but I would like to try it out.

For example…

Say, how would it turn out if the female lead of this story is the princess of an opposing nation or someone from a rival sect?

What if, a brother-in-arms of the martial world had discovered that one of them has a high-ranking position of the opposing nation? How would that develop?

These are the new directions of my latest book. There are some overly extreme topics that should be avoided, and I have done so.

All in all, I have planned this book for a long time and poured my blood, sweat, and tears into it. Everything that I have struggled for have been accumulated into this very product.

I like to write out my ideal image of a man, his love towards his country, the romance, the brotherhood and more.

I will take this book seriously and might be slow or delayed sometimes and I would not quicken the pace of the plot just to meet any deadlines.

I will, from the start till the end, write this book with gravitas.

This new book has inherited Feng Ling Tian Xia’s hot-blooded style of approach. The author has a rather unique perspective of how he sees war. With incredible writing skills, he has managed to establish a post-war scenario of a nation’s populace, like a painting that would slowly reveal its beauty after appreciating it. This provides a sense of immersion for the readers. The characteristics of the main character of the new book is rather similar to that of his previous book. The main character bears a sense of justice in his soul and he would enact justice in place of the heavens; to slay the villains on his own. Feng Ling Tian Xia believes that this book would favor both new and veteran novel readers.

Feng Ling Tian Xia should be known by most veteran readers as a fantastic author. Should the English-speaking community be able to read Chinese, they would understand that his fame and reputation is not merely due to his ability to write an amazing plot, but also due to his skill in writing phrases and sentences which contains depth. This depth refers to how the Chinese language can be used to artistically portray meaning, whether direct or ambiguous, to create a sense of satisfaction when reading. Such language could be used as devices to enhance the plot and sometimes also create plot twists. As a translator, I will promise to try my best to fully convey the author’s intentions.
